Avi Ben-Gur, Architect Avi Ben Gur was awarded both a BArch degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from The Technion, Haifa (1984) and a Master's degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Harvard University, Cambridge (1989). He was part of the team in the offices of Moshe Safdie in both Jerusalem and the United States and an integral part of numerous projects including the planning of the Jerusalem campus of Hebrew Union College, a master plan for the Mamilla neighborhood in Jerusalem, the design and planning of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and the Montreal Opera House. In 1989, he was working in New York City, planning several buildings, as well as, being a contributor to the team developing a master plan for the city of Dallas, Texas. As of 1993, he has been involved in planning in Israel, and from 1995 to 2007 served as the Chief Engineer for the Mateh Yehuda Regional Council in addition to being chairman of the local planning and construction committee. Today, Avi heads his office in Tel Aviv, working on a wide range of projects across Israel.
